Enchanted forest

Enchanted forest

Hello sweet friends,

I’m trying to make up for my absence from blogging, so tonight I would like to share with you a new mixed media art card I created recently.

Even if there are only 2 layers of paint on this one (which for me was a real challenge! LOL) I was very pleased with how this card turned out. Hope you’ll like it too. 🙂IMG_3547

I started with a piece of watercolour paper measuring 5.75 x 6.25 inches. I sprinkled Brusho pigments over the paper and then spritzed it with water waiting for the pigments to start working their magic. 🙂 I repeated this step several times, adding more pigments and spritz them with water again. Be careful though not to overload it with powders. A tiny amount of Brusho powder goes a loooong way.

I’m really having a ball right now playing and experimenting with this fabulous and versatile medium! Depending on the amount of water you add you can achieve so many different and pretty cool results.

When I was happy with my background I left it dry completely and then I draw the trees in india ink using a Stencil Girl stencil. I painted my trees using Inktense pencils and activated and manipulated the ink using a water brush. As a final touch I just added few doodles here and there and that’s it, my card was ready. 🙂

Thank you so much for stopping by and don’t forget to check out my new Online Workshop, you can watch a video trailer HERE.

Have a great evening,

Much love,
