The Designers’ Faves Challenge – Teal and Red Vintage Tag
Hello lovely friends,
Together with Finnabair and the entire Creative Team, I’d like to invite you to a new creative challenge in our series called The Designers’ Faves Challenge where each month one member of the Creative Team is sharing their favourite inspirations, techniques, ideas and creative guidelines for the challenge. Our meeting place is the Finnabair & Friends Open Studio Facebook Group where you can share your beautiful creations with the entire Finnabair community.
So happy to be here with you today, and I hope you’ll get inspired by my little vintage tag.
Why did I choose this colour scheme for the Designers’ Faves Challenge? I absolutely looove everything vintage and the fact that my favourite colour is teal/turquoise is no longer a secret LOL! Teal just makes me happy and makes my heart sing. So, when I started creating my tag, this colour combo just came naturally to my mind, with red as the perfect pop of colour to complement the verdigris. The theme I picked for the challenge is “keyhole/heart”, as I think its symbolic meaning relates perfectly to the title I chose “Be Yourself”- loving what you do being the key. 😊
I can’t wait to see your creations!
The rules for the Teal and Red Mixed Media Challenge are very simple:
- all the artworks submitted should be NEW, unique pieces that you have recently created and never shared on any social media channels.
- please use a teal and red colour combo for your project
- use a piece of ephemera or a vintage photo
You don’t have to use Finnabair’s products to be eligible for the prize although we always love to see how you use Finnabair products in new, innovative ways. Creative vision is what matters the most! =)
The challenge starts April 1st and lasts until April 14th – 2 weeks for you to join the Finnabair community creating your beautiful works of art! Once the challenge has closed, the Finnabair Creative Team will select the winner which will be announced on the Finnabair & Friends group page.
Look at the fabulous prize you could win!!! 🙂
To submit your artwork, go to Finnabair & Friends Open Studio Facebook Group and open the Photos section where you will find an Album with the current challenge and its description. Here you can add ONE photo of your artwork, along with a brief description of your project. Be sure to add any of your social media links where the Finnabair community can see more photos of your completed piece. Please remember that we won’t be accepting pieces created before April 1st meaning that your entries must be new, unique projects that you have created and that haven’t been shared on any of your social media channels.
Have a wonderful day and a creative weekend, my friends, and don’t forget to check out my Online Workshops 🙂 I’d be delighted to see you in the classroom!
