Turning a canvas into a shadow box

Hi lovely friends,

Turning a canvas into a shadow box it’s easy and very effective! All you need it’s a stretched canvas that you turn and work your project on it’s back.

So here is my collaged shadow box, hope you like it!

As you can see I played with lots of texture, using a couple of stencils with modeling paste and for the grungy look I added some marble dust picked up in a fine art store. The focal image was stamped on a piece of canvas using StazOn ink and because I wanted a more nature feel for this collage, I have used a real dried flower bud, a tiny branch and a small curly vine. I stained all the fabrics and laces with tea and coffee.
