Hello dear friends,
Tonight I’m back with yet another mixed media card -Create magic. This is a quick and fun project, very easy to make that brings Spring a little closer
Hope you’ll like it. Enjoy!
I began by sprinkling art masking fluid with a fan brush on a piece of heavy weight watercolour paper. When this was dry I started creating the background using watercolors (I used White Nights, but any watercolours will do) and Brusho pigments.
Splashing, sprinkling, spritzing and dripping - what a great fun!
I gave it quick heat set using my heating tool and then rubbed off all the masking fluid.
Using the lid of a round box I created some circles with black gesso and then I stamped my little hand carved stamp with Staz On ink all around the circles to create the petals.
I covered all the petals with a coat of white gesso and painted them using Ranger acrylic paint dabbers (Stick Candy, Speckled Egg and Soap Powder) and ColourArte primary elements that I mixed with a few drops of airbrush medium to make them sort of permanent. I used Vintage Mint and Pretty Peridot for the green ones and Teal Zircon, Beachouse Blue and Mystic Blue for the others.
For the finishing touches I used glass beads, clear glass glitter, Finnabair micro beads and fine glitter in several colours, all glued down with Finnabair 3D gel medium. The sentiment is from one of Finn’s stamp sets called “Now is the right time”. I cut the card in three panels that I mounted on black cardstock to help the colours pop even more and then adhered everything to the card itself.
And voila! Here you have it!
I would like to enter this card in the MMW Challenge #1 - Goga’s Moodboard
in the ColourArte Monthly Challenge #9 - Green Valley
and the More than words February Mini Challenge

Much love,

The colours are absolutely glorious and the glass beads are such a wonderful addition. The card actually reminds me of a stained glass panel.
